“Having been brought up in Cardiff and educated at Millfield School, sport has played a significant part in my life. My rugby playing day are well behind me and  Having children has definitely destroyed my golf handicap, although one day I hope to return to it! I will carry on playing squash until my knees give in and enjoy spending time in the hills of the Lake District and North Wales.

My wife is also a consultant and together if we aren’t driving between the numerous hospitals in the region, we are taking our children to various sports clubs and classes. Having been in the Midlands since 1993, and having a son who is football mad, we are sometimes seen at our local football ground, hoping and cheering for goals.”
